I went about my usual routine of bringing Benny in from the pasture, grooming, and tacking up. The hawk was still on her perch when we exited the barn. I swung my leg over the saddle. I guided Benny through the back field and toward the trails. The hawk circled over us. As we rode along, I saw her several more times, circling over us.

My earplugs were given a permanent place in my photo equipment. Photography is an addiction, just like decibels .
